WWE had a very successful launch on Fox with Smackdown Live debuting on the network for the very first time.

In order to make the show feel more 'sports-like', WWE pulled in the big guns to promote two very famous outside celebrities.

The first major celebrity to appear was famous boxer Tyson Fury. Fury was sitting at ringside and had a brief confrontation with Braun Strowman. Fury even jumped over the barricade to try and fight Strowman who was inside the ring.

However, security came to escort Fury out of the building. This is of course all part of the storyline since Fury is expected to appear in the WWE again to further his feud with Strowman.

Fury might not be as famous as the likes of Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson, but he's still a big name in today's boxing world.

He won't be the first boxer to have a match in WWE since Floyd Mayweather faced Big Show back in WrestleMania 24 in 2008.

All of this will culminate in Tyson Fury vs Braun Strowman in a future WWE event. Whether or not the match takes place soon remains to be seen.

The other big celebrity to appear on Smackdown Live was former UFC champion Cain Velasquez. Velasquez appeared at the end of the show with Rey Mysterio and the former beat up the new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

Velasquez in real life actually beat Brock Lesnar to become the new UFC Heavyweight Champion in 2010. Reigniting this feud in WWE is sure to attract new eyeballs to the product.

Velasquez's appearance on Smackdown last week was the most watched segment on YouTube on Friday's show. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reports Lesnar vs Velasquez might already take place at Crown Jewel on October 31st!

As of this moment, Velasquez has not signed a long term contract with WWE yet. That being said, it's only a matter of time until he signs on the dotted line.

Bringing outside celebs worked out for WWE at the end. Smackdown Live had over 4 million viewers which is the most watched show in many years!
