The Voice, the popular reality show where amateur singers compete for a chance at superstardom, is getting its own game on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and the Wii U.

Set for release on October 21, Nintendo revealed the box art for the Wii U version via Twitter.

"Featuring the blind auditions," IGN reports, "battle rounds and the finale itself, the game offers you the chance to sing your way to the top and be crowned "The Voice." It promises to encapsulate an array of musical genres, and offers both a single and multiplayer experience--the latter of which can accommodate up to eight players."

The Voice has featured popular singers in its past incarnations: Adam Levine, Shakira, Blake Shelton, Usher, and others.

The celebrity panel sits and judges the talent of singers while their backs are turned--making their selections based entirely on talent, not on the contestant's appearance.

Music-based games have been a staple of the video game industry; Guitar Hero and Rock Band both sold well during their height in popularity. In addition, Dance Dance Revolution was among the most popular games of its generation.

Schedule for release in the fall, the seventh season of The Voice is scheduled to air on September 22. And, a month after the season debut, fans will be able to live their pop star dreams in virtual reality.
