Finnish Symphonic Metal band Nightwish have announced a headlining US tour. The trek will kick off April 9th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City and support will come from Delain.

Marco Hietala, the group's bass player, commented in the press release:

"Our work on the new album has been going with serious productive speed and comfortable ease at the same time.

It's going to be great to get it out to you and play these pieces live. And with this announcement, it will obviously happen quite soon!

The thus-far unnamed new album will be Nightwish's first with vocalist Floor Jansen, who replaced Anette Olzen in 2012.
