Thor: The Dark World wasn't as well received as other MCU movies out there.

Well it looks like the first Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge inspiration on Thor: Raganrok. This new film looks more humorous and action packed than previous Thor outings.

Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Thor: Ragnarok today and it's not the usual standalone movie.

When Hela (Cate Blanchett) overtakes Asgard, Thor needs all the help he can get to confront her. He assembles his own team that reminds me a lot about both The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Aside from recruiting Hulk, also joining the team are Valkyrie and even his "evil" brother Loki.

Loki seems to be a good guy in this movie, although we all know that he's likely going to become a bad guy again. Nevertheless, this unlikely band of heroes are the only hope of saving Asgard from Hela.

Much like other Marvel movies, this movie is colorful and features a lot of humor.

Director Taika Waititi has always been able to make great comedies in the past, although this is the first time he tackling a huge Hollywood blockbuster.

Hopefully the full movie ends up being good so Waititi is able to direct even more Hollywood films in the future.

This movie is the third MCU film to be out this year. The studio already released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

2 as well as Spider-Man: Homecoming. 2018 is also going to be a big year as Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp are scheduled to be out.

You can check out the new trailer for Thor: Ragnarok below. The movie is scheduled to come out on November 3rd, 2017. The film should be out in other countries a week earlier in the last week of October.
