Marvel has been unstoppable when it comes to its slate of movies which continue to make a lot of money at the Box Office. When it comes to Marvel's TV shows though, some duds have been made.

The first TV show that Marvel had to cancel was 'Inhumans' which aired last year. Inhumans suffered low ratings and bad reviews meaning the show only lasted for 8 episodes long.

Now Marvel and Netflix have released a joint statement confirming that Iron Fist has been canceled. You can read the full announcement posted down below.

Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on

Main star Finn Jones who plays Danny Rand in Iron Fist responded to the cancellation of the show. His comments were posted over on his official Instagram page.

"With every end is a new beginning. I have an enormous amount of love and respect for everyone involved with the last two seasons of this show. Defending the greatest city in the world amongst the most talented and warmest people has been a privilege and a joy. Blessed to have taken this journey and grateful for the ongoing support."

The reason Iron Fist has been canceled is mainly because the show suffered from bad reviews - especially with its first season.

This may not mean we have seen the last of the Iron Fist character because he can always appear on the other Netflix Marvel shows.
