Metallica has now announced what they were teasing a few days ago with news about a new tour that is heading worldwide. Before the band embark worldwide though, they will visit many cities across North America first later this year.

Metallica announced on Facebook that they will be touring North America starting this September for the start of their WorldWired live tour. The North American leg starts on September 2nd, 2018 and ends on March 13th, 2019.

Tickets to the shows are available to the general public on March 2nd, 2018 at 10am local time.

If you are a Legacy or Fifth member of Metallica, tickets are available earlier for you guys starting on February 27th, 2018 at 9am and 11am respectively.

Metallica further announced that by being a Fifth member, you get access to exclusive things not available to the general public. This usually includes things like merchandise and a chance to meet the band members themselves backstage at the shows.

Much like the World Magnetic Tour, it looks like this will be an indoor arena tour. Most of the venues announced take place in smaller indoor arenas as opposed to big football stadiums.

Sadly, it seems as if USA and Canada dates have only been revealed at this time. You might have to wait an even longer time to see Metallica in concert if you live in the other parts of the world.

The last time Metallica came down under to New Zealand and Australia were the years of 2010 and 2013 respectively. It has been several years since fans down under have been able to see the legendary heavy metal band play in person.

The album 'Hardwired to Self Destruct' is out now and is the latest album from the band. Hopefully more concert dates are announced soon for those that reside outside USA and Canada.

Anyway, you can see all of the relevant North American dates by visiting the official website. Do you plan on going to see Metallica later this year?
