Mark Wahlberg Rock Bottoms Dwayne Johnson To Become Hollywood's Highest Paid Actor

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had been Hollywood's highest paid actor for a while now. However, the former WWE Superstar has been dethroned by Mark Wahlberg this year. The gap between their paydays were not very large though.

As reported by Forbes, Mark Wahlberg earned a cool $68 million over the past 12 months. This is thanks to his roles in both Transformers: The Last Knight and the upcoming Daddy's Home 2.

Wahlberg edged out Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson who earned $65 million and he's now the second best paid actor in Hollywood. His movies included Baywatch and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Third on the list is Vin Diesel who made a lot of money on The Fate of the Furious. He got $54.4 million for his efforts. He also voiced Groot in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. as well. You can check out the top 10 highest paid actors down below.

The latter end of the list comprises of Bollywood actors. They still make a lot of money over in India which is good to know.

It will be interesting to see if Wahlberg is able to hang on to the top spot next year. Not to mention if The Rock decides to become the President in 2020, he might no longer appear on these lists anymore!
