While she completely shocked Pharrell Williams with her original track, "Alaska," Maggie Rogers is finding all sorts of ways to keep us mesmerized with her voice.
She posted an acoustic cover of Gwen Stefani's "Cool" to her Instagram page and it's incredible.
In the video below, Rogers, armed with her guitar, sang the lyrics to Gwen Stefani's "Cool" in what is a mesmerizing cover of the track.
Though it was just a snippet, you could pretty much tell that Rogers has the ability to be a pretty big artist. Whether or not Pharrell might have some kind of influence in that remains to be seen.
We haven't forgotten the impact that the first video of Rogers meeting Pharrell had in the music world. "Alaska" was genuine and mystical in its tone.
Rogers told Pharrell that the sound stemmed from a spiritual experience with EDM music overseas and that's what she translated into the track.
Rogers, who was mostly doing folk music created one of the most infectious songs which she later released on her Soundcloud page. Here's to hoping there is much more to come from Rogers.
