M Stacks is a Cleveland-based producer working with the likes of Juicy J, Bun B, MGK and Mac Miller. M. Stacks seems to be able to adjust to different artists styles well and represents the new wave of music producers coming up. We had a chance to sit down with him and ask him a few questions:

Empty Lighthouse: How did you get into producing?

M. Stacks: When I was expelled from the 7th grade, my father had a long talk with me about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I told him that I wanted to make rap music. So, he promised me that he would help me achieve that if my grades and behavior improved.

I've been making music ever since. Started off rapping, then DJ'ing, and then ultimately making beats. Once college came, I got my first major placement. The rest is history.

Empty Lighthouse: Who was your favorite artist(s) growing up?

M. Stacks: My favorite artists growing up was Dipset. Diplomats changed my life.

As far as producing, The Alchemist has always been one of my favorites. It was a point in time were all my beats sounded like Alchemist beats. So yeah, those two definitely changed the game for me.

Empty Lighthouse: Who is your dream collaboration?

M. Stacks: My dream collaboration would be with C+C Music Factory, Shawty Lo, and Mario.

Empty Lighthouse: What is a 'bad song' that you secretly like?

M. Stacks: This is a serious answer: I've always loved that Lil' B song "I'm God" for some reason. Clams snapped on that beat.

Empty Lighthouse: What's coming up next?

M. Stacks: Next up is my new mixtape Connected Everywhere 2. I'm also on the road with my bro Boldy James DJ'ing for him. Other than that i'm working on a project with my guy Rich Espy. He's next up.
