Just today, Lorde revealed her new single "Yellow Flicker Beat", taken from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack. Take a listen to the track below!

Lorde curated the soundtrack to the film personally, which features an all-star cast of artists and is to be released in November, with further details to follow soon. "Yellow Flicker Beat" is the first new music from Lorde since her multiple platinum-selling, landmark debut album Pure Heroine, which established her as an international phenomenon and one of the defining and astute voices of her generation and todays music landscape.

The song was recorded at Lakehouse Recording Studios in New Jersey and sees Lorde working with renowned producer Paul Epworth, who has also worked alongside Adele and Coldplay.

It was announced in August that Lorde was chosen to handpick the songs for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, the third film adaptation from the best-selling book series. She commented, "I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people."
