A Reddit "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) for Legend of Korra video game director Eiro Shirahama is now live. Platinum Games announced the news via Twitter and invited fans to pick his brain.

The Legend of Korra is seen as the best Avatar game to date. But that isn't saying much; the game hasn't lived up to expectations.

Despite the hype, The Legend of Korra has gotten poor reviews-- holding a score of 50 on Metacritic. And the Avatar franchise has yet to have a well-reviewed video game. Kotaku wrote about this in a recent article--expressing concern.

"That leaves Avatar's video game legacy in an unfortunate spot.

Even Korra--which despite my misgivings, is probably the best game among many halfhearted attempts--feels thin and flimsy in the context of this near-boundless universe," Kotaku writes.

"While the combat is a cut above anything else we've seen from Avatar games, it's still sloppily grafted onto a 4-5 hour budget game."

With Korra in its final season and the Avatar franchise's future in doubt, it's unlikely that we will ever see a game worthy of the brand. Series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko recently stated that they would be taking a break from the series after Korra ended.
