The Kennedys' are one of the most prominent American families in history and even they are doing the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is meant to help raise awareness for ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and his gone viral after celebrities of all sorts have taken part in the "fun." It seems the Kennedys' got together this weekend in Hyannis Port and participated in the challenge.
They then nominated their grandmother, Ethel, who in turn took a daring approach at her nomination and went for the leader of the free world.
While it is very unlikely that Obama will partake in the Ice Bucket Challenge he is definitely one of the most down to earth presidents, as far as media appearances go, since JFK himself, So perhaps there is just a slim chance we will see him hop on the band wagon.

You can also do the world a favor by helping the fight against ALS by doing the ALS Challenge, but maybe skip Fire Challenge beforehand.
