Kendrick Lamar is All About 'Hard Work' In A New Video

There is no doubt that Kendrick Lamar takes pride in being a role model for others and in a new video presented by Top Dawg Entertainment, Lamar is equating his success to hard work.

In the video below Lamar and a young boy start out playing basketball when Lamar begins to get recognized by fans and others who have heard of him because of his fame. Both Lamar and the little boy are decked out in TDE gear as Lamar also pays respect to his label.

Along with Lamar, TDE is home to rappers like Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q, all of whom are members of the Black Hippy crew alongside Lamar.

The little boy is a bit perplexed as to why Lamar is getting so much attention and every time he questions it, Lamar replies with "Hard Work." The video was directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies according to the caption.

Lamar's repetition of hard work later speaks to the success of his album To Pimp A Butterfly, which has earned him 11 Grammy Nominations. Lamar was beat out by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at last years Grammy's but his 11 nominations give him a very high chance of winning, so to does his continuous hard work and dedication that shines throughout his music.

The fact that Lamar took a loss and bounced back with 11 nominations might already seem like a win to fans.
