While reviews for the brand new Justice League film have been back and forth, the film still managed to dethrone Thor: Ragnarok from the top spot on the global and domestic box office.

The only question that remains is how long can it actually keep up its reign at number one?

"Warner Bros.' presentation of DC Comics' 'Justice League' tops the global box office bringing in $281.5 million in 66 territories including a $96 million number one debut in North America," according to comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

"In other superhero news, Disney's 'Thor: Ragnarok' becomes the 9th Marvel Cinematic Universe film to cross the $700 million mark worldwide."
