Justice League Movie Becomes The Top Selling DVD/Blu-ray In North America

The Justice League movie may not have been the biggest hit in 2017 when it came out last November in cinemas worldwide, but it has already made quite a splash in the home market scene.

This is because the film is already the best selling DVD/Blu-ray in North America at the moment.

As reported by Variety, the Justice League Blu-ray and DVD was the best selling one in North America in the week that ended on March 17th, 2018. This caused Thor: Ragnarok to fall down to the second spot.

Blu-ray disc was the most popular format of choice for many Justice League buyers. Over 70 percent of sales for the movie was for the Blu-ray version of it.

12 percent of sales were for the 4K UHD version which means the remaining 18 percent were sold on the older DVD format.

This goes to show us that 4KTVs are growing, although it has a long way to go to catch up to the normal 1080p standard.
