When Jurassic World first came out in 2015, it set the world on fire for making a then record opening weekend of over $208 million. The film was successful enough to gross over $1.6 billion worldwide after that.

Due to the overwhelming huge success of the first movie, the sequel called Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is releasing later this year.

While it won't be matching the success of the first movie, it should still have a monster sized opening weekend.

As reported by Variety, early tracking suggests the movie could have a decent opening weekend of $140 million to $150 million when it releases worldwide later this month. While this is down from the first movie, it is meeting industry expectations.

As always though, the numbers can change because the Box Office can be very unpredictable. Analysts predicted that Solo: A Star Wars Story would have opened huge, but it only mustered a 3 day opening weekend of only $83 million last week.

The numbers all depend on how well the movie is received.

The first Jurassic World had decent reviews as did the first Jurassic Park movie back in 1993. The Lost World and JP3 are the least grossing movies in the franchise mainly because they were not as good and popular.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released in North America on June 22nd, 2018. The movie stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and promises to include a host of new dinosaurs for you to see on the big screen.
