Sequels to classic movies from the past are sometimes met with a bad reception. We've seen this in the past for movie sequels for the likes of Dumb and Dumber, Basic Instinct and more.

However, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle might be able to stand on its own two feet.

The first social media reactions from the movie have been revealed and a lot of critics are liking the movie. We will see full reviews posted online sometime in December.

Anyway, Heroic Hollywood posted the many reactions from the critics.

Many critics were fearing the worst, but it seems as if a lot of them had a good time watching the movie. Several reviewers credit Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Jack Black as the stars of the show.

They also say the movie is enjoyable and fun.

The movie releases on December 20th, 2017 so it's a perfect time for you to bring your family along to watch it. Other cast members include Karen Gillian and Kevin Hart who are also described as being likeable.

The first Jumanji came out in 1995 starring Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst.

The franchise then spawned its own cartoon series which I used to watch heavily as a kid. This sequel is a little different because the characters are sucked inside of a video game in lieu of a board game.

The only thing that is stopping Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle from being a success is its release date.

The movie is coming out just one week before the release of the behemoth called Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Hopefully Jumanji is able to find an audience of its own as it sounds like an enjoyable movie in its own right.
