Now that John Cena is slowly becoming a bigger star in Hollywood, the professional wrestler is hoping that his career can skyrocket much like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Speaking of The Rock, Cena hopes to do a future movie with the Samoan actor.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, John Cena expressed a lot of interest in joining Dwayne Johnson in a future Fast and Furious movie. You can read his comments on the matter down below.

"That stuff is beyond my control, but I would absolutely love that opportunity That, for me, would be a dream. I’m never really like, ‘Oh, I’d like to work with this person,’ but I just think between our chemistry in the live performance setting, there’s something certainly there with The Rock. So that would be my one name on the wish list."

Initially, people thought the two would have been paired up in Shazam as The Rock is set to play Black Adam in the DCEU. Alas, Warner Bros decided to cast Zachary Levi as Shazam instead so WWE fans missed out on seeing The Rock vs John Cena on the big screen.

Now that The Rock is making a spinoff Fast and Furious film with Jason Statham, it would be interesting to see if Cena was added to the mix as well. Cena playing a villain would be awesome since he's played the role of a good guy ever since 2005.

It's time for him to have a character change.

For now, Cena is starring in other films that do not feature The Rock.

You can see him this weekend in the comedy called 'Blockers' and he will then appear in the Transformers spinoff 'Bumblebee' alongside Hailee Steinfeld releasing on December 21st, 2018.
