John Boyega Reveals His New Blaster For Star Wars: The Last Jedi

John Boyega has revealed via his social media accounts that Finn will be getting a cool looking new laser blaster in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Finn's adventure will be different to that of Rey since he's not Force sensitive.

When Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, many people thought Finn could have been a Jedi as he was holding a lightsaber on more than one occasion.

Even though he could fight using a lightsaber, he's not Force sensitive which means he won't be able to become a Jedi.

That doesn't matter though because Finn is more of a Han Solo type character. Boyega revealed on his Instagram page that he has a new blaster. You can look at what it looks like in his post below.

It appears as if the blaster will be able to shoot blue lasers.

The prop lights up even without CGI being added into it. Hopefully Hasbro is able to make a toy version of his blaster when merchandise for the movie comes out this September.

John Boyega did reveal that Finn will not be wielding a lightsaber in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

It sounds like he won't be with Rey in this movie as he has his own adventure with the other good guys in this movie. This includes Poe Dameron and the new character of Rose Tico.

Not a lot about the plot of the movie has been revealed, but it will center around Rey training to be a proper Jedi with Luke Skywalker.

The other characters have to go and fight The First Order who are angry over Starkiller Base being destroyed in the previous film. Promotional material has teased that the film will have shocking twists and big reveals.

Proud owner of Finn's blaster ! Thanks to @riancjohnson !
