The dynamic duo of Kate Winslet and James Cameron has been reunited because the director has cast the talented actress in the Avatar sequels.

This is the first time in 20 years since the pair originally worked together in the massive hit called 'Titanic'.

As reported by Deadline, Cameron has cast Winslet to play a character called 'Ronal'. It's unknown at this stage if this character is a human or a Na'vi.

In either case, Cameron had always wanted to work with Winslet again, but the two have never had the chance until now. You can read Cameron's comments about the casting down below.

Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career. I can't wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life

The Avatar sequels are expected to have many returning faces from the original 2009 movie. Already cast in the sequels are Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis and many more.

It's interesting to note that characters who "died" in the original movie are coming back. This could be a recurring theme for the sequels and a mystery that could unfold as the series progresses.

It's still a long wait until we finally get to see Avatar 2. The second movie won't be out until December 2020.

After that, the third film is released in 2021 with the fourth and fifth movies scheduled for 2024 and 2025. The first movie is still the highest grossing movie of all time earning $2.7 billion at the Box Office worldwide.
