It's been ten years since the release of Rush Hour 3 in 2007.

Star Jackie Chan says the studio have presented him with a script of the fourth film for many years now, but he turned it down.

Now Jackie Chan is happy with doing a fourth movie, although production won't start unless Chris Tucker is on board.

Jackie Chan was recently interviewed by Power 106 Los Angeles and he confirms that he was turning down the script for Rush Hour 4 for the past seven years. It wasn't until this year that he is finally happy with the story, and he wants to start the movie next year.

However, the movie is not going ahead without the approval of Chris Tucker. You can read Chan's comments down below.

For the last seven years, we've been turning down the script, turning down the script. Yesterday, we just agreed. The script probably at the end of this month will have a second draft and next year, [we'll] probably start. If... Chris Tucker agrees.

Chan then added that it's not about the money, it's if Tucker is available. Chan really wants to do a fourth movie before they both get too old.

The Rush Hour series helped propel Chan's popularity in North America. Not to mention fans loved the unlikely duo of Chan and Tucker on the screen. The series won't be the same if both of them aren't the main stars.

Jackie Chan is 63 years old while Chris Tucker is 46 years old.

A fourth Rush Hour movie should before Chan gets too old to do all of his own action scenes. Chan is renowned for doing all of his own stunts in his action movies.
