Just when you thought Kendrick Lamar would be President Barack Obama's first choice if he ever needed a performer, he surprises us with J. Cole.

J. Cole is reportedly scheduled to perform at the President's Democratic National Committee fundraiser during SXSW.

"Cole's longtime friend and chief of the rapper's Dreamville Records label, Ibraham "Ib" Hamad, shared the flier on his Instagram (Feb. 24) with the caption, 'When the President asks...' reported Billboard.

The fundraiser will take place on March 11, but there is still a bit of unfinished business in the month of February. J. Cole hinted to dropping new music this February and as the end of the month approaches there hasn't been much from Cole or Dreamville, not even a teaser.

We aren't sure if he was just clowning on the track and having a good time or if there really is some heavy music dropping soon. Either way Cole's accomplishments continue to attest what a great talent he is.

While he personally did not address the DNC fundraising news on social media, you can probably expect a reaction some time soon.
