On Friday, March 10, The Vampire Diaries will air its final episode. Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore in the show, stopped by to chat about the end of the show and more with Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Somerhalder took some time to thank the fans for watching over the years and while he couldn't say much about the actual finale, Kimmel asked him to explain what happened on the finale of Lost.

Somerhalder said he was the first one casted on Lost and the first one killed. He still has people who walk up to him that are furious about the way the show ended.

The Vampire Diaries star also happens to have a hyperbaric chamber in his house. Kimmel joked that he found it funny that Somerhalder owns a chamber and plays a vampire on TV. The star said he put his now wife, Nikki Reed in the chamber on their second date and they were married almost 10 months to the day after. Kimmel said he felt like he would get out and feel like he couldn't breathe the crappy air in the regular atmosphere.
