Hong Kong based toy company Hot Toys has revealed its latest action figure to celebrate the official Star Wars day of May 4th.

The company is set to release a new Princess Leia action figure based on her appearance in The Empire Strikes Back.

This is a great collector's item to get if you want to commemorate the life of the late, great Carrie Fisher.

Hot Toys made the announcement over on its official Facebook page. It's a 1/6th scale figurine which means it could be close to 12 inches tall.

It could be closer to 11 inches tall since Carrie Fisher was shorter than most of her co-stars. You can read the official description for the toy below.

The highly-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the appearance of Princess Leia in the film. Featuring a newly developed head sculpt with stunning likeness, sophisticated tailoring of Leia's outfit as seen in the battle of Hoth, an assortment of weapon and accessories, and a specially designed snow-theme figure stand, this collectible captures all of the details of the great Rebel leader.

2017 also marks the 40th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise as a whole.

There is even more merchandise to be revealed to us this September. September will be the month where we will get to see the first toys that will be released based on Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Since it's May 4th, Hot Toys isn't the only company celebrating Star Wars.

Depending on where you live, many retailers are having sales for many Star Wars merchandise. This includes the likes of Walmart having sales for Black Series toys to Sony and Microsoft slashing the price of many Star Wars video games.
