Marvel's Netflix output has gotten really impressive as of late, with a new series coming every few months.

We just got the latest season of Jessica Jones recently and now Luke Cage's upcoming second season is set to debut this summer.

This new season for Luke Cage features an appearance from at least one of the other Defenders, with people involved potentially talking about a more involved teamup in the future.

The above image of the duo of Luke Cage and Danny Rand from the upcoming second season of Luke Cage shows them teaming back up briefly, which has been provided exclusively by Empire Online's new Pilot TV magazine.

In that new issue, both star Mike Colter and showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker were interviewed, with the topic of future teammates between the duo also coming up.

Courtesy of ComicBook.com, we have the following quotes from that interview, with Coker saying:

"It's something that's in the air. Internally at Marvel Television, everybody knows there's a part of that combination that is inevitable, particularly when you watch them together in the way that we did it. If feels right. It feels good. It feels like, 'I want to see more of this combination. Heroes for Hire is really not off the table.'"

Colter was a little more cagey, simple responding by saying that's "a question above my pay grade." He did really talk about how he enjoyed working with Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand, though, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Heroes for Hire series in the future.

Even with Iron Fist being the worst received of the bunch, people seemed to enjoy the character a bit more in The Defenders, so hopefully a Heroes for Hire series might finally get the character just how fans want him.

Luke Cage's second season will debut on Netflix on June 22nd, so make sure to set aside some time to binge the latest from Marvel's Netflix series.
