The Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft World Championship opening weekend is streaming live on Twitch.

A card game based on Blizzard's popular Warcraft franchise, the final rounds of the tournament will be held at Blizzcon on November 8. The tournament has sixteen players from: North America, South America, Europe, China, Korea, and Taiwan.

All of the players have a chance to make it to the final round at Blizzcon on the final day of the festival.

"The World Championship will be played in a best-of-five 'Last Hero Standing' format," Blizzard stated about the tournament. "In 'Last Hero Standing,' once a player loses a game, their losing deck is eliminated and they must switch to one of their remaining decks.

Each player brings four decks of unique classes and is allowed to ban one of their opponent's decks before a match begins. They then play until one player eliminates all three of their opponent's remaining decks."

In addition to the Hearthstone championship,World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor will launch on November 13. It is the game's the fifth expansion since it launched in 2004.
