Even though The Fate of the Furious is out later this month, things are already underway for the next installment for the franchise.

No official name for the movie has been given yet, but we'll call it Fast & Furious 9. Anyway, the ninth movie could see the return of a popular character.

Han Seoul-Oh played by Sung Kang was a popular character in the Fast & Furious movie franchise.

Even though his character initially died in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, he was cast in Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6 since the movie timeline went backwards until the release of Furious 7.

Now that the movies take place in the present day, the character of Han should be dead. However during an interview with Slash Film, writer Chris Morgan teased that we may see the character again in some capacity.

He didn't specify if it would be in the present day or the past, but we may see him again. Morgan's comments can be seen below.

Now, that's funny because I've actually been thinking about that a lot. So it's interesting that you and I are on the same wavelength there. But I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. I love Sung - he's one of my favorite people on the planet.

It wouldn't be too surprising if the brought the character was brought back for future installments of the franchise.

Michelle Rodriguez's character Leticia "Letty" Ortiz was also brought back from the dead after her character "died" in the fourth Fast movie.

Her character came back in the sixth and seventh movies as we later found out she survived a car explosion.

For now we just have to wait and see.

The franchise has become really popular over the last few years. It was initially just a series of movies about street racing, but now it's all about high impact action with insane stunts.
