When Gwen Stefani embarked on a solo career after years of being the lead singer of No Doubt, she took a more pop inspired route that worked seamlessly.

Her latest endeavor cam in the form of an album titled, This Is What the Truth Feels Like and it marks her first number one debut on the Billboard 200.

"Gwen Stefani debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with This Is What the Truth Feels Like, earning her first chart-topper as a solo artist," reported Billboard.

"The album, her third release, earned 84,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 24, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum it sold 76,000 in pure album sales."

Her previous album The Sweet Escape was released in 2006 and only managed to peak at number three on the chart.

However, Stefani's band No Doubt also had a number one album with Tragic Kingdom, gaining Stefani two number one albums to add to her list of accolades.
