If you're a fan of the Howard Stern SiriusXM radio show, you know how big of a fan he is of the hit Fox show, Gotham. So it was only right that Stern featured Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a.

The Penguin in the show. Taylor teased The Penguin's main power play and more during his interview.

Stern immediately jumped in to the discussion of how Taylor got the part in Gotham and like plenty of roles in Hollywood there was an audition process.

In the process, Taylor had to play fake scenes with fake characters as the casting directors didn't want the actors to come in with The Penguin in mind.

Stern also wowed at how different Taylor looked in real life because of the physical transformation he has to make.

For those who didn't know, Taylor admitted that his natural hair is actually blonde and he has to have it dyed for the show.

"Howard asked if it's tough to audition like that. Robin said if it's like pilot season sometimes you get a week to do a scene," according to a MarksFriggin rundown.

"Howard asked if he was playing a villain in this scene he did for the audition. Robin said he was. Howard said it's amazing that they can do one read through and know he's the guy."

Taylor chatted about his parents who said his dad was 93-years-old when he died. Both his father and mother were actuaries and very brilliant people.

"Howard said they must have worried about him becoming an actor. Robin said having an older dad like that was kind of strange. He said he started his life over with a second marriage," according to MF.

"He said he taught him a lesson about how to be happy and do his thing and follow his dream. Howard said he had some wisdom.

Robin said he did. He said when he applied for college he had to declare a major. He figured he'd say theater."

Stern raved about the show and Taylor's performance as The Penguin.

Meanwhile, Taylor said he loved the Batman shows and admitted that while he is receiving a lot of attention, he works 9 months out of the year filming.

Taylor also teased a big power play coming for The Penguin in the October 3 episode.

"Robin said he makes the biggest power play he's ever made. He said it will affect everyone in the show. He said the show tonight will start to show the world we're living in today," according to MF.

"Howard said it must be a Donald Trump kind of situation. Robin said it might be something like that. He said we'll have to see how it goes. He said he is making a power play."

Fans will have to wait and see what the power play is. In the meantime you can stream some of the highlights from Taylor's Stern Show visit in the audio below.
