2018 is another new year and that means WrestleMania 34 is just only a few months away. Before WrestleMania takes place though, the night before is usually reserved to celebrate the past legends in the professional wrestling business.

This year's Hall of Fame will excite fans mainly because WWE.com has announced that Goldberg is being inducted into this year's class. You can read the full written statement down below.

Goldberg has been announced as the first inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2018! Tickets for this year's Induction Ceremony, taking place on Friday, April 6 in New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 Week, will be available starting this Friday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. ET.

Usually when a wrestler is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, it commonly means that their in-ring career is over.

Sure some people still wrestle after they have 'retired', but it's safe to assume Goldberg is happy to stay fully retired now.

Goldberg already made his family and fans very happy last year when he feuded with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title.

His son and wife never got the chance to see him wrestle in his prime so he briefly came back to WWE to relive his past.

Goldberg is arguably the biggest star that WCW ever created on its own back in the '90s.

His famous winning streak is still talked about even today and people still remember the time he won the World Title off of Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

After WCW folded, Goldberg briefly came to the WWE in 2003 to 2004, but he only lasted for one year as he was unhappy with management. Fast forward to 2017 and he was happier to work with WWE once again.

It will be interesting to see who wil induct Goldberg into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame. Hopefully Brock Lesnar inducts him, although this might not happen since Lesnar usually isn't known for making long formal speeches...
