A Ghost From Oliver's Past Visits In Arrow's Upcoming "Fundamentals" Episode

Arrow has had somewhat of a screwy airing schedule over the last couple months, with the 2018 Winter Olympics first throwing a wrench into things and then the CW just deciding to take yet another break only a few episodes after returning.

While the series returns this Thursday, March 29th with its 16th episode of the season, the CW has already released a description of the upcoming 18th episode that sounds rather interesting.

The CW revealed that the upcoming 18th episode of Arrow's sixth season will be titled "Fundamentals," after previously being titled "Back to Basics," which is described as the following:

OLIVER IS VISITED BY A GHOST FROM HIS PAST — In his darkest place yet, Oliver (Stephen Amell) wonders if he has failed at everything – being a father, a mayor and a hero. His frustration rising, Oliver lashes out at Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and William (guest star Jack Moore). A surprising visit from an old friend has Oliver questioning his next move.

Based on the description for the episode, it sounds like some rough stuff is going to go down in the lead up to this episode, so it will be very interesting to see what happens in both the Thea focused The Thanatos Guild and the Diggle focused Brothers in Arms, the next two episodes of the season.

Looking at the episode description itself, it will be very interesting who this "surprising visit from an old friend" could be in this episode. Oliver has had a lot of relationships with people over the series, but a good majority of them are either dead or not in a good place with him.

The question though is whether this is an actual physical person visiting or perhaps a ghost that "visits" him as he's losing it psychologically.

That's something we'll have to wait and see when the season's 18th episode titled "Fundamentals" airs on April 12th.
