Taelor Deitcher, also known by his stage name Felix Cartal, is a 27 year-old DJ and electronic music producer from Vancouver.

The artist has been rising on the EDM scene since 2009 when he released his debut EP 'Skeleton' on Dim Mak Records.

Since then, Cartal has progressed in the industry and has released two full length albums, 'Popular Music' in 2010 and 'Different Faces' in 2012, along with a number of other EPs.

We had the opportunity to catch up with Felix Cartal before he performed a live set in Pittsburgh at Whim Nightclub, discussing his musical influences and upcoming plans for the summer in regards to more touring and releases.

The DJ and producer has many musical influences he mentioned that you wouldn't expect to come from an electronic music artist. "All kinds of stuff. The Beatles and Steely Dan.

Slow stuff like Radiohead and The Weeknd.

I was also in a punk band when I was growing up. I didn't know what to do when we broke up in college, so I started making things that weren't really songs yet."

Felix Cartal also just released his newest EP titled 'Credits' late last month, which features the lead single "Ready for Love" featuring Chloe Angelides.
