Just when fans started scratching their head, puzzled at the fact that Frank Ocean did not drop his Boys Don't Cry album in July as teased, they finally get an official release date.

Like many of the exclusive albums to come thus far, Apple is involved in the release.

Frank Ocean like Travis Scott will be releasing a new album on Friday, August 5, via Apple Music.

The confirmation of Ocean's album Boys Don't Cry came from a recent New York Times article which explained much of the confusion that was surrounding the release.

"Mr.

Ocean, the innovative and enigmatic R&B singer, is set to release his next album, 'Boys Don't Cry,' on Friday through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, according to a person with knowledge of the release plans," reported The New York Times.

"The release is also expected to include a major video and a printed publication called 'Boys Don't Cry' that will be distributed at Apple stores."

Channel ORANGE, the debut album from Ocean, was one of best debuts from an R&B artist. Critics all over raved about the albums content and the actual way it was assembled.

Now, Ocean is looking to top what some are calling his best work with a new piece that fans have been starving for.

If you don't have Apple Music, you will have to wait two weeks until the album is available on all platforms.
