Fox has been airing the the X-Men style TV show called 'The Gifted' recently and fans will be happy to know that more episodes will be on the way in the near future.

This is because the TV show has since been renewed for a second season.

Fox confirmed the good news during the TCA Winter Press Tour. It's possible the second season could have more episodes since the first one only had 13 episodes.

The renewal was not a surprise since the TV show has been getting good ratings ever since it debuted on Fox back in October.

The show has managed to receive millions of viewers each week both on network TV as well as DVR.

The final two episodes of the first season will be airing on January 15th, 2018 and will be shown back-to-back. The show has had decent reviews so far and I have been enjoying it myself.

People don't have to worry about Fox TV shows being transported to the ABC network as things wil stay the same for the time being.

There was some concern thanks to Disney buying many of 21st Century Fox's media assets just a few weeks ago.

For now, the TV shows that are currently airing like 'The Gifted' and more will have the same tone and will air on the same network.

The Disney/21st Century Fox merger isn't set in stone yet because a buyout this large won't be finalized until many months later.

Anyway, I'm glad more episodes of 'The Gifted' will be airing in the near future. It's far better than Marvel's Inhumans because the characters actually use their powers and the storyline is much more engaging.
