It seems that Fox has not been discouraged by the failure that was the most recent reboot of "Fantastic Four." They are already planning to go ahead with a second film.

"Fantastic Four" came out on August 7th. Ending its opening weekend with only $26 million, it's safe to say it fell below expectations. Even with all the warnings.

The movie's director, Josh Trank, had tweeted that the current "Fantastic Four" movie was not the movie he imagined.

For those who have seen the movie, it is quite easy to tell where Trank's movie started and stopped. But that part wasn't even that good either.

The plot dragged on too long. There wasn't nearly enough character development, did Johnny or Sue even have a reason to partner up with Ben? And as everyone knows the ending just felt out of place.

If Trank really wanted a movie that focused less on being superhero's and more on what the change did for them it was all lost in the sequence the audience doesn't get to see.

Thought, Fox domestic distribution chief Chris Aronson statement that "While we're disappointed, we remain committed to these characters and we have a lot to look forward to in our Marvel universe," doesn't quite mean that the squeal will be happening for sure.

The studio could just plan on movie the characters into other Marvel movies they've still got working for them. However, "Fantastic Four 2" is still set to premiere June 2, 2016.
