The Flash season 4 episode 5 called 'Girl's Night Out' is a unique one.

Despite being called 'The Flash', we did not see the scarlet speedster at all in this entire episode. This episode was instead dedicated to the major female characters of the show.

I always love when shows sometimes focus on the minor characters.

Sure Barry Allen is the main character, but it's nice to see some of the other characters get fleshed out. This episode mainly concentrated on Iris West, Felicity Smoak and Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost.

I'll talk about the males first to get them out of the way. They were at a bachelor party since Barry Allen will soon be married to Iris West.

Ralph Dibny takes them to a strip bar and everyone gets drunk at the event. Barry is the drunkest person in the group and he never uses his powers in this entire episode.

My favorite part of the strip club scene was seeing Joe's face when he saw Cecile's daughter working there. Joe promises not to tell Cecile about it, but the reveal was really funny.

It's also cool to see Ralph Dibny being a series regular. His powers could come in handy in future episodes.

Anyway, the main character in this episode is actually Caitin Snow. Caitlin is a bit worried because she made a deal with a metahuman mob boss by the name of Amunet Black (Katee Sackhoff).

Amunet Black wants Killer Frost back to be working with her. Amunet Black wants protection since she is selling a new drug on the black market.

Obviously, Killer Frost refuses Amunet Black's offer. Amunet does not take no for an answer very lightly and is going to hunt down Killer Frost for denying her proposal.

Amunet Black is an interesting character as Katee Sackhoff is enthusiastic in the role. I've usually seen Sackhoff play stoic serious roles, so this was a nice change to see her play a more upbeat character.

Due to Barry Allen being drunk and unable to become The Flash, it's up to Killer Frost, Iris West, Cecile and Felicity Smoak to try and take Amunet Black down.

Killer Frost nearly dies after a run in with Amunet Black, but she manages to escape. Iris promises to find Amunet Black to take her down for good.

Killer Frost reverts back to Caitlin Snow and is injured. Iris takes Cecile and Felicity to a location where Amunet Black is doing her dodgy drug deals.

Sadly, Felicity and Iris get caught by some henchmen. Cecile is watching from inside a surveillance vehicle.

Luckily, Killer Frost comes back to save the day. It seems as if Caitlin Snow is able to control Killer Frost better than she did last season.

She's not as crazy and evil. However, Amunet Black is still strong because she can wield heavy metal around.

Unlike Marvel's Magneto though, she can only move around a specific type of metal. Cecile is able to hack into the system and turn on a big magnet. Amunet Black is then powerless with all of the metal stuck on the magnet.

Killer Frost threatens to kill Amunet Black, but Iris talks her out of it. The weird part is that they let Amunet Black run away.

Cecile says the police are on the way, but they are too slow to catch her. I guess we will see more of Amunet Black in future episodes.

I admire the show writers for strengthening the friendship between Caitlin and Iris. This episode shows us that they are more than just work friends.

Iris even asks Caitlin to be her maid of honor at the wedding. As for Cecile, she doesn't find out her daughter was working at a strip club...

The episode ends with a tease from The Thinker.

He's still not doing much, but it's the first time he left his base. Next week is back to a more traditional episode as The Flash/Barry Allen is teaching Ralph Dibny how to use his powers.
