The Flame in the Flood, a game with 6 days remaining in its Kickstarter campaign, has exceeded its $150,000 goal.

The game is being developed by industry veterans that worked on: BioShock, Halo, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero. Due to its all-star development team, the title has earned the "Staff Pick" distinction on Kickstarter.

They posted on Reddit, talking more about their background in the gaming industry.

"We are The Molasses Flood," the developers stated "a group of ex-AAA game devs in Boston...Forrest, Chad and Gwen just finished working on BioShock Infinite at decided to leave AAA after Irrational shut down. Damian was the AI engineer from Halo 2 and 3.

He went indie afterwards, and did contract work for BioShock Infinite to fund his goals."

Flame in the Flood
will be continuous journey down a river after American society has collapsed.

"Travel by foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river as your scrounge resources, craft tools, remedy afflictions, evade vicious wildlife, and most importantly, stay ahead of the coming rains," the developers state on the game's Kickstarter page.

With the game funded, The Flame in the Flood is expected to launch in July of 2015 for Mac and PC. For more about Molasses Flood and their upcoming indie title, visit their official website here.
