As noted a few days ago, Toei Animation will be making a short anime series based on the Dragon Ball Heroes video game. Now we have the first details on what the anime will be about and it sounds exciting.

The new information about the Dragon Ball Heroes anime was posted via the official website in Japan. Translator, Shubham Ken Rawat/Ken Xyro, posted the exciting details over on Facebook.

The first part of the anime is being called the 'Prison Planet' saga and we may see a battle between Super Saiyan 4 Goku and SSB Goku!. You can read the episode details below.

"Trunks arrives from the future again to train with Goku and Vegeta. However, Trunks suddenly disappears. Then a mysterious man named 'Fu' appears and tells them that Trunks is trapped in a place between universes called 'prison planet' which no one knows about. To escape, they must gather the 'Dragon Balls' and fight in many transcending battles! Can Goku and the others rescue Trunks and escape the Prison Planet?"

All this sounds exciting so hopefully we see a trailer for the anime very soon.

It's expected the first episode will debut in Japan on July so it should not be too long until we see the action unfold for ourselves!

Dragon Ball Heroes is not the only thing fans have to look forward to later this year regarding the Dragon Ball franchise.

Later this December, Toei Animation will also be releasing a brand new Dragon Ball Super movie.

The movie will see the heroes needing to face another new villain and is expected to take place after the recently concluded Tournament of Power saga.
