Kong: Skull Island is one of the top most anticipated movies of 2017 and fans will be happy to know that the critics are liking it so far.

The first reviews for the movie have been posted online and things are looking great for it. This could lead to a monster Box Office opening when it comes out later this month.

As of time of writing, Rotten Tomatoes has Kong: Skull Island with a positive rating of 81%. This is based off of 32 reviews in total.

26 reviews are positive while only 6 are on the negative end. Things can go up and down, depending on what other reviewers think of it. As of right now though, it looks like things will end up on the positive side.

The critical consensus is that the movie offers a lot of eye candy with great acting from the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson and more. It also says that the movie has a fast-paced story meaning there won't be many boring or slow moments that will bore the casual movie goer.

It's worth mentioning some of the reviews that have been posted on Rotten Tomatoes spoil the end-credits of the movie. Be advised if you are wanting to watch the movie with a fresh mind.

Some reviewers love to get a little too deep with the story in their reviews. Anyway, the movie is sure to appeal to fans of monster movies and Kong is expected to have more screen-time compared to Godzilla in Godzilla 2014.

The runtime for Kong: Skull Island is 118 minutes so it's much shorter than Peter Jackson's King Kong remake from 2005. Even though critics liked that movie, audiences were less receptive due to its unnecessary long 3 hour runtime.

It's possible audiences will love Skull Island a lot better than Peter Jackson's effort. The film comes out in North America on March 10th, 2017.
