With it's undeniable message of family and togetherness, The Fate of The Furious managed to turn it up at the box office, debuting at number one worldwide.

In weeks past, The Boss Baby was ruling over Beauty and the Beast, as well as other big films, however, there is a new sheriff in town.

"Universal's 'The Fate of the Furious,' the eighth film in the popular franchise, revved up and hit the gas with a monumental biggest-ever global opening weekend of $532.5 million, including a massive debut in China, where the film posted the biggest 3-day opening weekend of all-time," according to comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

The Fast and The Furious films keep one-upping each other and it doesn't look like the franchise plans on ending anytime soon. The only question is, how much longer will the current film dominate the box office?
