Entertainment Weekly has revealed in its latest issue the full costume that Brie Larson will wear in the highly anticipated Captain Marvel movie out next year. We also get more details today about the film's plot and more.
Captain Marvel will be a historic movie because it's the first MCU movie with a female as a lead character. This is following in the footsteps of the DCEU which released the excellent Wonder Woman movie back in 2017.
Captain Marvel will be a unique film mainly because the film will be set in the '90s. A "younger" looking Samuel L Jackson is starring in the movie where CGI will be used to de-age him.
Star Brie Larson also explained in more detail more about the character's attitude. You can read her comments posted down below.
"She can’t help but be herself. She can be aggressive, and she can have a temper, and she can be a little invasive and in your face. She’s also quick to jump to things, which makes her amazing in battle because she’s the first one out there and doesn’t always wait for orders. But the [not] waiting for orders is, to some, a character flaw."
Captain Marvel's director, Anna Boden, also mentioned in more detail what the movie will be about. You can read her statement posted down below.
This is not a superhero who’s perfect or otherworldly or has some godlike connection. But what makes her special is just how human she is. She’s funny, but doesn’t always tell good jokes. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn’t always make the perfect decisions for herself. But at her core, she has so much heart and so much humanity — and all of its messiness.
Captain Marvel will be released in North America on March 8th, 2019. The character is also going to appear in Avengers 4 which will be out two months later.
