Bought this as a fat e bike rider in SEATTLE. I ride every day rain or shine. I needed it for the room around the curvature of the belly earth.The XXL works fine for me. (5’6” 250lbs.) Plenty of room for a fleece and a base layer and still not tight......around the belly. Sleeves are long for me but the cuffs easily take care of that.
The large Velcro cuffs are marvelous. Easy to manipulate with gloves as advertised. I have had a few jackets with pit vents. This jacket does not have pit vents but front vents that are also pockets. I like them. They are easy to use and regulate when i am riding. Let’s face, it pit vents or not, you get hot. Wicking base layers takes care of that. Right now I just wear a 250 merino wool long sleeve shirt underneath. In 40 degree rainy weather I am plenty warm. The jacket. blocks the wind and rain no problem. As some sort of snow jacket, I removed the snow skirt. The jacket is long enough so no rain gets down my crack when on the saddle. The skirt thing is not needed for me. The hood will easily cover my bike helmet but not sure how that would be needed on a bike. Some sort of air and rain scoop. (i wear a balaclava)
I love the lined collar. Zips up high and is nicely protective. No zipper rubbing on the chin.
The only minor knock is the zipper. It is small and sometimes difficulty to start. Belly issues and the smallness hinder this fat old man’s zipping.
Overall a well made jacket. Expensive, but worth it, as it appears it will last for some time. I am quite pleased with this investment.
