Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Divorce Rumors Are Just Rumors

Lezbehonest. Ellen and Portia aren't getting divorced.

As gossip and buzz around the security of their relationship has swayed toward a split up, the pair have increased their public presence to prove they are stable and happily married.

Some sources believe that the appearances are little more than a facade to hide their crumbling marriage, and they're just smiling for the cameras.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that the couple has been fighting frequently.

"We've covered the deterioration of Ellen Degeneres' marriage to Portia de Rossi pretty extensively here at CDL and exposed divorce and fighting rumors, but it seems like things have taken a turn for the worse recently," CDL wrote.

CDL and other tabloid sources such as The National Enquirer have been spinning headlines about the couple's "toxic" relationship, reporting that they have each cheated on the other, and claiming tension comes from jealousy and drug use.

But when's the last time anyone with half an ounce of common sense ever believed such trashy write-ups? If these allegations are true, well, DeGeneres and de Rossi are doing a pretty good job at keeping up appearances.

Thursday night, after the airing of de Rossi's latest acting project, "Scandal", de Rossi tweeted a series of three photos with wife, DeGeneres.

DeGeneres also tossed this tweet out there, for good measure:

This seems less like the efforts of a relationship on the verge of splitting, and more like a married couple aiming to escape the rumor mill cycles. As a famous couple, the pair have graced tabloid covers ever since talk surfaced that they were thinking of having children.

DeGeneres and de Rossi were married in August 2008, and have now been married for six years.

It's just past the honeymoon phase of their relationship, and when rumors started circulating about the pair's plans for a family, they directly addressed all the kid talk as nothing more than talk.

In mid-October 2014, de Rossi publicly addressed the baby rumors on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"It's just one big rumor that doesn't seem to go away," she told Kimmel. "And at this point I feel like I'm disappointing the whole of America, not just my mother."

Ellen, being a talk show host herself, also invited her wife on her own show to discuss all the fun surrounding baby rumors.

"It would be so fun for everybody if we were [having a baby]," de Rossi said on The Ellen Show. The pair were super effing cute, and their chemistry was apparent as they playfully bantered about the whole situation.

"Everyone assumes we really are having a baby, and we're just not sharing it," Ellen said. "So we might be having a baby, and we're just not sharing it."
"This is just one big act, right now?" Portia said.

"That'd be pretty clever of us."
"Right. But we're not having a baby," Ellen said, and Portia chimed in, saying "No, we're not."
"Or are we?" Ellen said.

Now, let's think about it. Their relationship is just like any other relationship to ever exist.

There is bound to be a little rocky asymmetry as they advance into the next portion of their lives together, and simply because their dirty laundry is a bit more notorious than most, does not mean they're set to split.

It's not like it's news for the tabloid press to blow things out of proportion.

Rumors were flying that the pair ditched a charity gala event due to a vicious fight they had on their way there, but on November 5, the New York Daily News debunked that rumor.

"(De Rossi and DeGeneres) never agreed to attend this year's benefit, and they were not absent due to an argument on their way to the event," Saving Spot! founder Lizzie Scherer said in a statement released Tuesday," reported Ethan Sacks, NY Daily News.

All the talk of DeGeneres and de Rossi's divorce is simply just talk, and any strain on the couple's relationship could be the reported rumors circulating the presses.

Perhaps we should all take a deep breath, and just talk about Kim Kardashian's booty, like we're supposed to.
