Early Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Box Office Prediction Made

2019 has been a decent year of movies with Disney pretty much earning all of the money. The year will end when Disney will release Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this December.

As reported by Box Office Pro, the first prediction for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's Box Office potential has been made by the site.

The reception of the movie will be important since a number of fans hated the previous The Last Jedi movie.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker isn't expected to be a total flop like Solo: A Star Wars Story, but it may not reach the heights of The Force Awakens or Avengers: Endgame.

Anyway, the prediction made is that The Rise of Skywalker will have an opening weekend between $185 million to $225 million in North America. The website ended up saying $200 million might be the number to reach.

As for the domestic total, the movie could earn as little as $550 million or as high as $750 million. It might be a disappointment for Disney if the movie fails to even make $1 billion worldwide.

That being said, early ticket sales for the movie are strong so the film has the potential to open to the higher end of expectations. Hopefully the movie is good because some fans don't like the sequel trilogy so far!
