Sony's animated Spider-Man movie called Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will be about this December in order to get a slice of Box Office revenue for the Holiday season.

While the movie isn't expected to gross as much as a live action Spidey movie, the early Box Office tracking for the film looks healthy.

As reported by Deadline, current Box Office tracking for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse says the movie could have an opening weekend of around $30 million to $40 million.

The trailer for the film has over 29 million views and the movie is tracking well with audiences that are under the age of 25.

There's a chance the movie can do well since Miles Morales is a Puerto Rican-African American character.

Diversity has been a good thing in Hollywood as shown by the amount of money Black Panther got around the world earlier this year.

While the $30 million to $40 million opening just includes North America, the film could also do well in China. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse has a release date of December 21st, 2018 over in China.

Venom opened recently in China and it made a ton of money. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse could get a decent about in China as it looks like people from The Middle Kingdom are in love with Spider-Man characters.

In slightly related news, it has also been revealed that select PlayStation Plus members are invited for a free screening of the movie on December 1st. Details should have been sent out as a email for current PlayStation Plus subscribers.
