There's a little bit of good news and a little bit of bad news regarding the Box Office potential of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The good news is that the movie is expected to have a bigger opening weekend compared to the first Ant-Man movie that came out in 2015.

The bad news however is that tracking still suggests the film will be one of the lowest grossing Marvel films in recent memory.

As reported by Deadline, tracking for the film is hovering between $69 million to as high as $80 million. The average estimate given so far is that Ant-Man and the Wasp will gross around $75 million in its opening weekend this July.

This number is above the $57.2 million that the first movie got in its opening weekend in July 2015. However, the opening weekend is low compared to every other recent Marvel movie released to date.

That said, it's still a decent number because Ant-Man and the Wasp are not the most famous Marvel characters in history.

Not to mention this is just a standalone movie so we won't be seeing many other Marvel characters dropping in to be a special guest.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released in North America on July 6th, 2018.

Remember, early tracking is not always 100 percent correct so the opening weekend for the movie could be higher or lower depending on how well received the movie is to both critics and average movie goers.
