Not everyone is famous enough to get their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is no ordinary man as the wrestler turned actor will be honored with his own star later this month.

As reported by Variety, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will get his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star in a special ceremony being held on December 13th, 2017.

Walk of Fame producer, Ana Martinez, gave comments down below for the reasons for Johnson's induction.

Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame. We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans.

Dwayne Johnson was first famous wrestling as 'The Rock' when he was working in the WWE. His star power grew after getting a guest spot hosting Saturday Night Live in the year 2000.

It was that hosting gig that landed him a small role in The Mummy Returns. After that film, he starred in The Scorpion King and he has been a huge movie star ever since.

Johnson spent seven long years away from the wrestling ring until he returned to wrestle in the WWE briefly between the years of 2011 and 2013.

He still makes sporadic appearances in the WWE, although his heavy film schedule bars him from wrestling anymore.

Johnson was last seen in The Fate of the Furious and you can catch him in cinemas later this month in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The Jumanji sequel also stars Karen Gillian, Kevin Hart and Jack Black.
