Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Lands Another Big Movie Role

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is the busiest man in Hollywood and his insane schedule is about to get even bigger. The popular actor confirmed that he will play King Kamehameha in a big role in the near future.

This report first came from Deadline and was later confirmed by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson himself on his official Instagram account. You can read what he had to post down below.

"A LA HIKI OLA. Dawning of a new day with hope and promise. Humbled & grateful to begin this once in a lifetime journey. KING KAMEHAMEHA - the legendary King was the first to unite the warring Hawaiian islands — fulfilling the prophecy that surrounded his fabled life since birth and creating the powerful & spiritual 50th state as we know it today. Academy Award winning director, Robert Zemeckis (FORREST GUMP) will direct. Academy Award nominated writer, Randall Wallace (BRAVEHEART) will write. From the day I began my Hollywood career (2001), my dream was to bring this legacy to life. In Polynesian culture we have a belief, that something isn’t done when it’s ready... it’s done when it’s right. The time is right. The one who walks alone. "

This is a movie and a role that Dwayne Johnson had wanted to do ever since he broke into the film industry and now his wish has come true.

It's great to know the actor is finally going to play this role and he waited until a director and script was appropriate.
