Everyone who grew up in the 1990s knew the theme song to DuckTales by heart: D-d-d-danger lurks behind you, there is a stranger out to find you... And even if they won't admit it, they still remember the DuckTales theme today.

So with that, we present you some awesome news: DuckTales will be back in 2017 on Disney XD (the Disney Channel, except targeted at boys).

Yes, Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, and Louie will be back, as will Launchpad and the housekeeper whose name nobody can remember. Maybe that weird looking robot dude will be back too.

You now have the liberty to pop out your NES and vanquish bad guys by jumping on them with your cane once again.

Disney posted a teaser video including the theme song, which you can watch below. The theme music is exactly the same as the original, which was great.

However, the teaser appears to have been done as CGI instead of traditional animation. Unfortunately, the teaser only shows some coins landing, giving us little to work with.

What's so bad about CGI? Well, nothing really. But it seems everything is now being done in that style, and for those of us who are nostalgic for the original, it's jarring. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for example, stopped having a fun, welcoming air when the animation style was changed.

Now, it's just dark and scary.

Other shows have had the same fate. Remember Garfield and Friends? If you do, the new Garfield Show on Boomerang will freak you out, as Garfield and Odie appear to have been turned into polygons.

There are still plenty of traditionally animated shows on TV, and there's no reason they'd have to move DuckTales to CGI. So we ask of you, Disney: please try to keep the same lighthearted, fun DuckTales that all of us 90s kids remember -- don't ruin one of our favorite childhood memories.

What do you think? Do you like nostalgic show revamps to be done in the CGI style? Do you prefer to have the shows remain closer to the original? Tweet us.
