Dragon Ball Super episode 116 features another fight between Goku and Kefla. This time though, Goku has reached the Ultra Instinct form again. It looks like Kefla might not be able to handle Goku anymore in his new god-like form.

Before I start this week's review, I just want to say my heart goes out to the Japanese voice actress for Bulma named Hiromi Tsuru. She sadly died earlier this week from a medical condition called aortic dissection. Tsuru gave life to the Bulma character so it's sad to hear she's gone now.

Anyway, this week's episode of Dragon Ball Super starts off with Goku showing off his new Ultra Instinct form.

It's interesting to note that Whis says Kefla's power matches that of Goku which is why he turned into the new form. If this is true, Kefla, Goku and Jiren are the strongest people in the Tournament of Power.

It sounds like Goku can only channel Ultra Instinct when he is pushed to his absolute limit.

Kefla is just as powerful as he is, although Goku looks like he will be stronger.

The first part of this episode is surprisingly non eventful. The two fighters just pretty much power up while breaking a portion of the ring.

When the fight actually begins, Kefla goes for the offensive first. However, Kefla is slower than Goku now.

The Ultra Instinct form makes Goku as fast as Jiren is. He has learned to move without thinking first which is what Whis tried to teach him and Vegeta a few months ago.

At the latter end of the episode, Kefla is able to handle Goku's punches but she isn't eliminated yet. She goes for one last attack, but Goku also needs to finish the fight quickly.

Goku is able to dodge her Ki blasts even in the air. He ends the fight with a huge Ultra Instinct Kamehameha.

Kefla is unable to deflect the Kamehameha blast and is blown out of the ring. Her Potara earrings break and she splits back into Kale and Caulifa. The two are now eliminated. Only the two Namekians are left for Universe 6.

Goku is again out of energy and will need to rest before fighting again.

Even though he is much stronger than as a Super Saiyan Blue, he has yet to full master the Ultra Instinct form. He will need to master it before he takes on Jiren.

Vegeta is confident that he will master Ultra Instinct one day. I do think it's a little cliche how Goku is the first one to find new forms and not Vegeta.

It would be a nice change for fans if Vegeta is able to be stronger than Goku.

Frieza doesn't mind that Goku is stronger than him though. Frieza just wants Goku to win so he can get his wish from the Super Dragon Balls.

I'm also a little disappointed Kefla has been eliminated already. I was hoping Kefla would at least last until the final three.

Hit was also a favorite of mine, but he got out weeks before. It will be too predictable if the Tournament of Power ends with just Goku vs. Jiren.

There are still "17 minutes" left in the tournament but this is sure to last several more weeks for us.

Next week, Android 17 and Android 18 fight the Universe 2 warriors. Join us again for another weekly review and recap of Dragon Ball Super!
